The Club
For nearly two hundred years, the Oriental Club has been an iconic Central London focal point for those who have lived, worked or travelled in the East. Today, a diverse membership values the modern amenities of Stratford House and the attentive service offered by the Club’s Staff. 
The Club treasures its rich history and the extraordinary characters who have been associated with the Club, since the Duke of Wellington founded the Club as the first and only President in 1824. Within this hidden gem, you will find the perfect mix of old and new. A place to enjoy exclusive facilities, this historic Club in the heart of London guarantees a peaceful retreat.
Tucked away at the end of Stratford Place, in a convenient Central London location, close to Bond Street and within easy reach of Canary Wharf and the City, the Oriental Club is an exclusive Members-only haven.  The Club is ideally placed for meeting friends, family and colleagues for business, an evening out, or simply time-out from a busy day. The Club has forty well-appointed bedrooms, an elegant Dining Room with renowned cuisine, two Bars, a secluded Courtyard Terrace and Shamiana, Meeting Rooms, an IT Suite, spacious Drawing Rooms, a Billiards Room and Private Dining Rooms for hosting events and parties.
 
Our Food
In 1861, the Club's then Chef de Cuisine - Richard Terry, published the first Western Cookery Book for Eastern Cuisine, entitled 'Indian Cookery''. Today these Eastern flavours are still found in many recipes today and the Club's Brigade of Chefs create Curries, alongside a range of British seasonal dishes using ingredients sourced mainly from UK Suppliers.
  
Oriental Club Dine at Home & at Work
The Oriental Club launched Oriental Club Dine at Home in September 2020 as a way of bringing a taste of the Club to wherever you are in the UK.
 
Due to the success of Oriental Club Dine at Home, we have launched Oriental Club Dine at Work, a premium workplace catering service delivered locally to Central London (Zones 1 and 2).
